Feist Facts |  It is a great weekend for sports fans with the Final Four and the culmination of the college basketball season next Monday in the Superdome in New Orleans for the national championship.

The baseball season actually begins later this week as Seattle and Oakland play a two game series in Tokyo, Japan that will count in the regular season standings.  The season gets underway stateside on Wednesday, April 4.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton was suspended without pay for the 2012 season by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was banned indefinitely.

Tim Tebow was traded to the Jets from the Broncos on Wednesday. Denver general manager Brian Xanders said the Broncos would receive fourth- and sixth-round draft picks, while New York gets a seventh-rounder - all in 2012.

News & Notes | The first weekend of the Madness is in the history books and only 16 teams remain standing in the NCAA Tournament. Let’s assess their chances for success as the field gets reduced to the Final Four this coming weekend.

Feist Facts | It’s the final stretch of a long college basketball season. There are better teams, tougher matchups, and defensive intensity. It’s a good time of the season to look backward – to look back, that is, to conference regular season tourney play and early season matches against different conferences.

Bettin on B-Ball |  Whereas college basketball’s NCAA Tournament has determined its field of Sweet 16 teams, the race for the NBA version becomes the topic of focus now that the trade deadline has passed.

The Madness came and left Las Vegas with the bettors getting the best of the sports books which is really saying something because the first week of NCAA Tournament always produces consistent win for the house.
