Gaming consultants that are assisting the State of Ohio get into the casino business submitted invoices of more than $1.5 million in 2011, according to a report in the Columbus Dispatch newspaper.
The report said that the New Jersey firm, Spectrum Gaming Group, submitted bills that reflected a $375 fee per hour. Also, some of the invoices were for travel related activities since the consultants reported traveling to various parts of the state to meet potential vendors and a developer.
A gaming official said he believed Spectrum was following its work agreements with the state.
