Harrah's New Orleans announces closure due to tropical storm August 27, 2012 11:03 AM by Staff & Wire Reports

Harrah’s New Orleans Casino has announced it will close at 11:59 p.m., Monday, August 27, to allow our guests and employees to make the necessary preparations in advance of Tropical Storm Isaac. We will move to reopen the casino as soon as it is safe to begin operations. Additionally, Manning’s Restaurant, located on Fulton Street, will close after dinner service tonight. Harrah’s Hotel will remain open unless a mandatory evacuation is ordered.

“The safety of our customers and employees is our highest priority,” said Dan Real, regional president of Caesars Entertainment. “We are working hand-in-hand with the City of New Orleans and Louisiana State Police to ensure that our property is secured and our guests and employees are able to make arrangements in advance of Tropical Storm Isaac.”
