Pool season is here and that means we always find some free parties or inexpensive ways to enjoy hot summers in Vegas on the cheap!

CollectiveZOO (a Vegas based digital media and event planning company) aims to bring on fun in the sun all summer long with their Pool Party Safari series, hosting their first event at Rumor Boutique Hotel this Saturday from noon-7 p.m.

The summertime bash complete with Nerf Super Soaker water guns, beach balls and barely-there bikinis will feature high-energy music and summertime cocktails. The free event begins with a complimentary open bar from noon to 1 p.m.

The party will be complete with an 18-foot tall inflatable water slide, 30-foot Slip ‘N Slide, blow-up boxing ring and drinking game relays to win prizes from event sponsors Spy Optics, KRU82 Vodka and Powder & Sun Ride Shop. The DJ lineup, filling the air with feel-good music all-day long, includes DJ Sousay, DJ Topsider, DJ SK, T.C. and R.G.

CZ’s master-planned summer pool series, the Pool Party Safari, consists of nine separate bashes scattered across the downtown area in different venues with music acts and an out-of-town extravaganza to San Diego for Labor Day Weekend. Each event will cater to a favorite summer pastime with new surprises announced at each event.

ARIZONA CHARLIE’S

The Boulder and Decatur locations are promoting a Comp Card Giveaway through Sunday. For every 2,000 base slot points earned during the promotional period guests receive a $10 comp card. There is no cap on how many comp cards can be earned. This is a Charlie’s "Points Free Premium," which means you keep your points.

Swipe your player’s card at any kiosk before 11:59 p.m., May 4, and receive a voucher to be redeemed at the main cage. Points are base points only with no point multipliers included. Points are not combined and they must be redeemed at the location where they were earned: Boulder or Decatur. Visit the ace PLAY Center for more information.

STATION CASINOS

Want to learn about horse racing? The Kentucky Derby, on May 5, prides itself on being "the most exciting two minutes in sports," and Station Casinos will help its guests better understand the race through free seminars to be held at select sports books.

Session will involve Q&A with Station Casinos’ sports book management and local media experts about gaming, handicapping and types of race bets. Each seminar will include giveaways for various prizes like t-shirts, hats and dining credits.

The first of the series will be held at Sunset Station Race & Sports Book on Saturday at 5 p.m. The session will feature Ralph Siraco, Rich Rose and Lou D’Amico from the Race Day Las Vegas on KSHP AM 1400, Richard Saber from GamingToday and Richard Eng from the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The free sessions are open to the public to anyone over age 21. No RSVP is needed.
