Winter Poker Classic set for Thursday at Caesars Palace February 21, 2012 3:00 AM by Johnny and Sarah Hale

We will be playing in a lot of the events in the 5th Annual of Caesars Palace Winter Poker Classic. All Seniors and Whippersnappers are invited to join us for over 20 days of the event at the Caesars Palace poker room in Las Vegas.

Sarah is eligible, but Carol and I will be playing in the Seniors event at 10 a.m. this Thursday. The Winter Classic will be no limit hold’em with 15,000 in chips. The buy in will only be $100 plus $30 and we sure hope you can come by and be with us.

There were 766 seniors who played in the Inaugural Super Seniors last June at Caesars and we are hoping for over 1,000 this June to come and play with us. The Golden Eagle will be on display during the Winter Classic and I will be available to tell everyone about the upcoming "Seniors WCOP" at the WSOP (a Gold Bracelet event at the WSOP) and the Oklahoma Johnny Second Chance at the WSOP.

I will also be available to discuss the schedule for the Super Seniors, plans for a Senior Series of Poker at Caesars Palace and the Oklahoma Johnny Hale 85th birthday poker party.

I am working to get all of the Seniors WCOP plans up on our web home www.okjohnny.com, but you can email us at Oklajohnny@aol.com with questions about the events.

OK Sarah is in San Francisco this week but the entire family plans to be together in the Winter Classic. Hope to see you there.

Our Tip Of The Week

We have to thank Seneca (the younger) a Roman Stoic philosopher, who died in A.D. 65 for the increase in numbers of the seniors who love to play in Seniors-only poker tournaments.

Seneca said: "It is the youthful folk (I call them whippersnappers) failing and unable to control their impulses"!

OK Johnny said: "The whippersnappers have not been tested by the fires of life – have not yet gone home broke – and have not slept on the park bench with a newspaper for a blanket!

When they get a little older, it will be surprising how many of them come to our senior poker events.

We hope you Stay Lucky.
